Message from Coach Tootle
Year 5 loading here at Eldorado High School. And it is still a pleasure and #1 priority of myself and our coaching staff to produce men of character, integrity and self discipline. It feels awesome to say definitively that we are indeed building Qualifiers for the next stage of life. The proof shows up now at the homecoming game. Over the last 4 years we've graduated young men that are truly prepared for college, campaign or career. And they are thriving! Firehawk Football players and coaches know nothing but tireless work ethic and uncompromising grit. Our version of this game requires MENTAL TOUGHNESS & EXTREME DESIRE! So come check us out this fall. Last season we faced real adversity together in our program. From off-season roster changes to injuries at key positions, to nights of really tough officiating, last season has had no shortage of ups and downs. But we persevered! I love this team because it always feels like we're forged in the fire (see what I did there 
). We seem to do our best work when the odds are stacked against us. The team finished last season with the first winning record for Eldorado football since 2004. And with 14 returning starters next season, we relish the opportunity to compete with expectations. Expect the Firehawks to continue to RISE.
"The Cleat Game"
One of the oldest rivalries in Nevada High School sports is the annual football contest between Eldorado High School and fellow "Eastsiders", Chaparral High School. The winner each year earns a trophy created with a donated, bronzed cleat from NFL Hall of Famer and Rams great, Merlin Olsen. The Cleat currently resides with Eldorado as of 2025.
Our Home Field
We are proud to call Firehawk Field our home since 1973. Recently renovated track and turf surfaces along with ongoing improvements complement the unmatched views of Sunrise Mountain in Las Vegas, NV.
Firehawk Fitness Center
Completely renovated in 2023 thanks to amazing admin and donors that include the Las Vegas Raiders. Eldorado host one of the top fitness centers in the state. The room has rows of cardio equipment across from several rack and weight stations, touch screen displays for game planning and all Eldorado branded equipment in our favorite colors, maroon and gold.
Flag Football
During the winter season, the ladies take over the gridiron and defend Firehawk Field! Led by Coach Small, they have an exciting program we are proud to have as part of the Eldorado Football Family. Visit their webpage for more information.
The Rebrand
After 50 years of being the "Sundevils", Arizona State University leadership decided to terminate the agreement our school had to use the same logo and mascot, which lead to a full rebranding of the school. The process was lengthy and included input from the students, staff, alumni and the surrounding community, who have come together to rally around the FIREHAWKS as they rise form the ashes of the Sundevil!
